A low geometric dish rests on four legs with a tactile ‘Tadelakt’ finish. The inky black color is achieved with an intriguing technique from Morocco. The centuries-old process involves smoothing and burnishing a local form of plaster onto a clay surface, which is then polished with olive oil soap to create a delicate smoothness. Tadelakt-ware is recommended for ornamental purposes. To keep your piece aging gracefully, the surface can be refreshed with olive oil soap as necessary.
